RRAP MUSIC MUSEUM AND HUB

RRAP - Rajasthan Rural Arts Programme builds a transformative and sustainable cultural ecosystem by creating, conserving, innovating and developing performing arts as a rich resource for social and economic well-being. This museum showcases the past, present and future of our living musical Rajasthani traditions. Visitors can witness the words and sounds passed through generations of our rural communities, meet the musicians still playing today, and see their remarkable handmade instruments expertly crafted from traditional knowledge.

For the visitors to take something back from the museum, I developed the design and packaging of the souvenir program, which consisted of various products created over a span of a few months under the guidance of a mentor. Using the traditional Rajasthani method of Dabu printing and incorporating the colour indigo was our way of making the souvenir program more authentic, culture oriented and in-line with RRAP’s vision.

With the RRAP museum's establishment predating the introduction of the souvenir program, the logo and color
palette had already been established. As a newly appointed designer for the company, my role entailed upholding and progressing the existing brand identity while incorporating distinctive elements that harmonize with RRAP's core values and ethos. This required a thoughtful balance between maintaining brand consistency and introducing innovative touches that enhance the overall brand experience.
